Cartoonery 205
May 2, 2009
When I was a kid, we moved around a lot. Dad was in the military and so we would stay for awhile in one place, and then a year or so later, we'd pick up and move. So it seems only natural that I would be accustomed to discombobulation.
Here's the new office.
Well, it's gotten purtier since this photo was taken. None-the-less, it was my reality not long ago. Everything, including four bookcases of sketchbooks and HEAVY artbooks, was picked up and trotted three doors down to #205... the new home of "The Cartoonery"... or as I am calling it, Cartoonery 205. There is a tad less space in the new place... due to the addition of a fireplace, sink and a closet door... but hey... I HAVE A CLOSET! Now I can hide all the files, portfolios, and doodads that I wish not people to see! Ah... and with a sink, the office plants will LIVE!
So I have new office happiness.... which is very much like the new room happiness I experienced as a kid... you get to decorate your space any way you wanted to... and by moving stuff around, it made things fresh, new and exciting.

That is an interesting looking space. I didn't realize the sink was so near to the fireplace. Why, if you had an out-of-control fire, you could just take a cup and douse the fireplace. Assuming the fire were in the fireplace.
Where's the closet -- did I miss it?
